In 1970 as one of Delaware's youngest legislators, I was the only American ever TRIED and convicted in four Federal Court trials of violation of the US Census law. I refused to fill in the 1970 form mailed to all Americans and after being threatened by party and public officials both Federal and State with personal and political destruction; the US Attorney charged me with FAILURE TO COMPLY and brought me to trial. After four Federal trials including one hung jury I was found guilty. I was sentenced to 60 days in jail (probation) and a $100.00 fine...BUT...as a result CONGRESS CHANGED THE LAW FOR ALL AMERICANS.
This past year 2010 it had only 10 general questions instead of 178 very personal ones and NO citizen penalties. Proving direct action by one single American citizen can change this tired old world.
But ...we have to be organized and committed to make BIG CHANGE. Can you imagine what a million of us Silent ONES can do to the next election cycle if we refuse to talk about WHO we will vote for, both before the election and afterwards,,,we will drive the the politician's, media and pollsterers absolutely ...NUTS!
We will become STAKEHOLDERS IN AMERICA...instead captive SUBJECTS of the CAREER POLITICIANS. We will introduce UNCERTAINTY into their political future...no one will know who to give money to for campaigns...we will never tell how we will vote. The politicians will have to please the people not the contributors...GET IT!!
